JEE MAIN 2025 Exam

JEE Main is the first step towards the ladder of the top engineering colleges in the country. The National Testing Agency is responsible for conducting the computer-based online test for JEE Main. The JEE Main 2025 exam would be conducted to assist aspiring students to pursue undergraduate courses in the top engineering institutes-IITs, NITs, etc. The JEE exam is divided into two papers first JEE Main and second JEE Advanced. Only those students who are able to clear JEE Main cut-off are given the chance to appear for JEE Advanced paper. Admissions in IITs, NITs, and CFTIs are based on the marks obtained in JEE exam. The top 2, 50,000 students who are able to qualify for JEE Main are given the chance to appear for JEE Advanced.

About JEE Main 2025

JEE Main is an All-India level entrance exam conducted in different states to offer admission to some of the best engineering and technical institutions that are funded by the government or privately hold. The exam is conducted by the NTA. It is an undergraduate-level exam.

JEE Main 2025 would be conducted for three groups of aspirants:

  • *  Students aspiring to take up B.E. or B. Tech. courses would appear for Paper 1
  • *  Students aspiring to take up B. Arch. the course would appear for Paper 2A
  • *  Students aspiring to take a B. Planning course would appear for Paper 2B

Most of the questions that are asked in JEE Main are NCERT based. To have a clear analysis of the candidates understanding of the concepts and analytical skills the questions are framed in a tricky manner.

JEE MAIN Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for JEE Main 2025, candidates must have passed or be appearing for the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board. Specifically, they must have passed class 12 in 2023, 2024, or be appearing in 2025. There's no age limit to apply for JEE Main. Additionally, candidates must have Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (or Biology/Biotechnology) as subjects in their qualifying exam. 

Key Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: Must have passed the 10+2 level examination or equivalent from a recognized board. 

Subjects: Must have Mathematics and Physics, along with Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or another technical vocational subject in their qualifying exam. 

Passing Year: Must have passed class 12 in 2023, 2024, or be appearing for it in 2025. 

No Age Limit: There is no age limit for applying for JEE Main. 

Marks: General category candidates need a minimum of 75% in class 12 or be in the top 20 percentile to be eligible for IITs, NITs, and IIITs. Reserved category candidates need a minimum of 65%.
