NTSE Exam

WHAT IS NTSE ?

NTSE or National Talent Search Examination conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT). It is a national level exam, conducted only for 10th standard students .The objective of the exam is to provide scholarships to the exemplary students studying in class 10th. It is a matter of great honour and esteem for students to be known as the nation’s talent. The exam is conducted in two stages – Stage I and II.

The Stage 1 exam is a state-level exam and is conducted by all the Indian states and UTs. NCERT conducts Stage 2 exam which is a National level examination. Only those students who qualify in NTSE stage 1 will be eligible to appear for the Stage II exam.

The students must have clarity regarding the exam pattern for better preparation.The NTSE is conducted in two stages i.e. Stage I and Stage II. The NTSE paper is available in both Hindi and English medium. The students get a choice to select any one language. The paper is divided into two sections i.e. Mental Ability Test (MAT), and Scholastic Ability Test (SAT).

  • *  The paper is comprised of Objective type multiple choice questions.
  • *  The examination is conducted through the offline mode only.
  • *  For every correct answer, 1 mark will be given and there is no negative marking at stage 1 and stage 2.
  • *  Reserved category candidates have to secure 32% marks to qualify the test, whereas general category candidates have to secure 40% marks to qualify the exam.

  • NTSE 2023 SYLLABUS

There is no defined syllabus of NTSE but on the basis of past year paper analysis experts have created the given syllabus. The syllabus includes all basics of class 9th and10th.
